Job summary

Boikago Group in Johannesburg is seeking a skilled Digital Printer to operate the digital printing machine and prepare customer artwork using Office, Publisher, and design software. You will monitor print quality and ensure deadlines are met.

Ideal candidates have an N4 Technical Qualification, strong mechanical/technical aptitude, and experience with plastics packaging. You will work with teams, OT when required, and uphold safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• N4 Technical Qualification or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Experience operating digital printing equipment.
• Experience in plastics packaging environment advantageous.
• Strong computer literacy including image-editing and design software.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to be assertive when required.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality focus.
• Ability to work with others at all levels and be punctual.
• Willingness to work overtime when required and operate with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate the digital printing machine and process print jobs.
• Prepare customer artwork using MS Office, Publisher, and design software.
• Review files for accuracy and print readiness.
• Monitor print quality and ensure standards are met.
• Manage colour and printing requirements for consistency.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic servicing of the printer.
• Troubleshoot printing issues and address minor breakdowns.
• Adjust printer/computer interfaces for different sizes and layouts.
• Keep the work area clean, safe, and organized.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet production deadlines.
