Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Pre-Sales Engineer with a strong, NIST-aligned cybersecurity background, proven technical expertise, and verifiable certifications across leading vendors. You must be able to analyse customer environments, identify gaps, design solutions, and present Prima Secure’s consultative cybersecurity approach with clarity and confidence.
This role requires hands‑on knowledge across the modern cybersecurity stack and the ability to turn customer requirements into actionable, scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical pre‑sales process for cybersecurity solutions across Africa.
- Engage with customers to gather requirements, assess security posture, and map needs to Prima Secure’s offerings.
- Develop and present architectures aligned to NIST CSF, industry best practices, and customer environments.
- Deliver product demonstrations, solution overviews, and technical workshops.
- Assist the sales team by preparing BoMs, technical proposals, solution diagrams, and SoWs.
- Evaluate RFP/RFQ requirements and produce compliant technical responses.
- Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities in customer environments and recommend the appropriate solution bundle.
- Support PoCs and pilot deployments where needed.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships and stay updated on new technologies.
- Contribute to internal enablement, documentation, and solution playbooks.
Required Experience
- Minimum 3–4 years in technical pre‑sales, cybersecurity architecture, or solutions engineering.
- Strong understanding of NIST CSF, Zero‑Trust, and modern security frameworks.
- Experience designing solutions across:
- Endpoint security (EDR/XDR)
- Network security & firewalls
- Email security
- Identity & access management (MFA, PAM)
- SIEM/SOC
- Web/API/Application security
- Cloud and hybrid security
- SSL/TLS, PKI and certificate management
- Proven experience supporting enterprise and mid‑market customers in South Africa and Africa.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business‑driven solutions.
- Strong presentation, communication, and documentation skills.
Vendor Certifications (Highly Advantageous)
