Job summary

Network Finance is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer in Gauteng to identify opportunities in power generation, utilities, mining and industrial sectors, promoting electrical technologies and solutions for power plants.

You will provide technical consultation, deliver proposals and quotations, and manage the sales cycle from lead to handover while building relationships with engineers, procurement teams and plant managers; travel to customer sites is required.

Qualifications

Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Proven experience in technical sales within electrical engineering, power generation, energy, or industrial automation.
Strong understanding of power plant electrical systems, switchgear, transformers, protection systems, or related technologies.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to interpret technical specifications and provide tailored solutions.
Valid driver''s license and willingness to travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

Identify and develop new business opportunities in power generation, utilities, mining, and industrial sectors.
Promote and sell electrical technologies, equipment, and solutions for power plants and related industries.
Provide technical consultation and support to customers, ensuring solutions meet operational requirements.
Prepare and deliver technical presentations, proposals, and quotations.
Manage the sales process from lead generation through to project handover.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including engineers, procurement teams, plant managers, and decision-makers.
Collaborate with internal engineering and project teams to ensure successful project execution.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies.
