Job summary
Pro Select Consulting seeks a Technical Data & Power Quality Specialist to join a client team in Hillcrest, South Africa. You will manage databases, analyze power quality data, and support clients with technical queries while developing internal data tools and preparing technical commercial proposals.
You will develop SQL queries, reporting templates, and automation using Excel/VBA, Python or BI dashboards, delivering practical solutions to power quality challenges and client needs.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in an engineering/IT field.
- Experience with SQL databases and querying.
- Interest in data-driven tools using Excel/VBA, Python or BI.
- Understanding of energy metering and power quality principles.
- Exposure to power systems or energy management is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the client database and SQL environment.
- Analyse electrical logging and power quality data.
- Develop data-processing tools and reporting templates.
- Prepare technical quotations and commercial proposals.
- Provide technical software support to clients.
- Collaborate with engineering and commercial teams to meet client requirements.
- Turn complex data into clear information for clients and internal teams.
