Qualifications

• Ph.D. in bioinformatics, computational biology or related discipline.
• Experience with omics data analysis and bioinformatics workflows.
• Knowledge of sequencing technologies and molecular biology.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply bioinformatics pipelines for 16S rRNA, metagenomic and whole-genome sequencing data.
• Integrate molecular, microbiological and metallurgical data to improve process understanding.
• Mentor postgraduate students and support bioinformatics capability development.
• Contribute to research proposals, publications and collaborative initiatives.
• Plan and manage research activities in line with SHEQ and data management practices.
