Pitch Black Post is a leading post‑production facility based in Johannesburg, working across film, TV, and digital content.

We pride ourselves on craft, collaboration, and creative excellence – from picture to sound to delivery.

We're looking for a Post Production Supervisor to join our team – someone who's equal parts organised, technically sharp, and people‑focused.

The ideal candidate will have experience running multiple projects simultaneously, managing budgets, and leading teams of editors, colourists, sound artists, graphic designers, animators & VFX artists.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of post‑production from ingest to final delivery
• Create and manage post schedules, workflows, and budgets
• Coordinate between editorial, grading, online, and sound departments
• Hire and manage freelance post talent (editors, colourists, composers, etc.)
• Liaise with clients and production teams to ensure creative and technical expectations are met
• Maintain delivery standards for broadcasters and streaming platforms
• Track costs, manage post budgets, and report to OM / MD
• Support business development by scoping new projects and estimating post costs

Requirements

• 4+ years' experience in post‑production supervision or producing
• Strong understanding of post workflows (offline, grade, online, sound, QC, delivery)
• Excellent communication and time‑management skills
• Comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment
• Experience with budgeting and resource scheduling
• Familiarity with broadcast and streamer delivery specs (e.g., Multichoice, Netflix, Showmax)
• Experience in a post facility or agency environment
