Placements24 is seeking a skilled Specialized Cleaning Technician for post-construction cleanup in the Soweto area. You will remove debris, dust and residues using HEPA vacuums, floor buffers and pressure washers, ensuring immaculate spaces for occupancy.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically fit and adheres to safety requirements. You will manage cleaning tasks, operate specialized equipment, and participate in project handover with a pristine finish.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a post-construction cleaner or in a similar specialized cleaning role.
• Familiarity with a wide range of cleaning chemicals and their appropriate use on various surfaces.
• Ability to work efficiently and meticulously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Physical capability to perform demanding cleaning tasks, including climbing, bending, and lifting.
• Strong understanding of job site safety procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed cleaning of all surfaces after construction or renovation, including walls, floors, windows, and fixtures.
• Remove dust, paint splatters, adhesives, and other construction-related residues.
• Operate specialized cleaning equipment such as HEPA filter vacuums, floor buffers, and pressure washers.
• Clean and polish metal, glass, and plastic surfaces to a high standard.
• Ensure proper disposal of construction waste and cleaning materials according to site regulations.
• Conduct final inspections to ensure all cleaning specifications have been met before project handover.
