What You’ll Do

Weekly Financial Oversight : Accurately categorize bank feeds and manage reconciliations.

Month‑End Excellence : Conduct monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.

Clear Accounts Payable weekly.

Produce comprehensive financial statements and reports.

Prepare and file monthly Sales Tax returns

Quarterly Reviews : Evaluate books for potential filings and prepare quarterly tax projects.

Client Engagement : Build and maintain strong relationships with U.S. clients.

Assist the Accounting and Tax Manager with clear and effective communication.

New Client Onboarding for Senior Roles : Play a key role in seamlessly integrating new clients into our clients' systems.

Ad‑hoc Support : Manage special client requests efficiently as they arise.

Monthly Sales Tax Filings : Compile and file relevant Sales Tax reports for all of your clients (a valuable skillset in the United States).

Pathway to U.S. Tax Work

After establishing a solid foundation in accounting and demonstrating strong technical accuracy, you’ll transition into hands‑on involvement with U.S. tax work.

Who You Are

Qualifications : BCom in Accounting is preferred, with a priority given to graduates from Stellenbosch, UCT, University of Pretoria, North‑West, or Wits.

Minimum 3 years' experience, including articles, is required.

Professional Credentials : SAIPA Designation Preferred Flexibility : Comfortable working non‑standard U.S. hours (until 11 PM on weeknights) Weekend work during busy season Open to international travel as required Adaptable & Eager to Learn : Enthusiastic about acquiring expertise in U.S. tax systems, with any prior experience in compiling U.S. Tax Returns considered a significant advantage. Communication Skills : Proven ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a virtual setting.
