Job summary

A leading staffing agency is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for an established hospital in a British Overseas Territory. Job description

Remedy International Medical are working with an established hospital in Bermuda, which is a British Overseas Territory to recruit an experienced Registered Nurse, with Theatre experience.

Situated in the North Atlantic, with a sub‑tropical climate, beautiful beaches and aquarium‑like waters, and plenty of sandy coves, if you love the outdoors, this could be the island for you.

The Offer Salary Scale : $75,- $95,pa, (depending on experience) with a low tax rate Subsidised housing for the first 3 months, with travel and relocation allowance, plus an attractive benefits package.

2 year contracts Responsibilities Acts as a scrub nurse or circulating nurse during a variety of operative procedures such as Laparoscopy, Endoscopy, Trauma emergencies, Orthopedic, Pediatric, ENT, Maternity, Gynecological, Ophthalmology, Urology ,Vascular and Plastics.

Acts an Anesthetic Nurse by assisting the anesthetist during induction and throughout the anesthetic period.

Monitors and assesses patients clinical condition and takes appropriate action to ensure safety of the surgical patient.

Functions as a Charge Nurse and a team leader when required.

Utilizes clinical, hospitals and community resources.

Participates in unit Quality Improvement activities and when required, approved research projects.

Functions as a preceptor / monitor and role model for new junior staff, as well as peers.

Takes active responsibility for professional development by participating in continuing education programmes, keeping current with professional literature.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse with Bachelor's Degree or Diploma from an accredited institution. Current registration as required by the Bermuda Nursing Council (BNC).

Minimum two years of continuous employment / experience in a current Operating Room setting.

Current certifications : CPR, I.V, ACLS preferred.

Experience in Physical assessment essential.

Demonstrated knowledge and clinical competencies.
