About Our Client

Our client is a UK-based property lender providing short-term secured real estate finance solutions, including bridging loans, refurbishment finance, and development loans. They pride themselves on delivering tailored funding solutions to property investors and developers while maintaining rigorous credit and compliance standards.

About the Role

We are seeking a Credit & Portfolio Compliance Analyst to join their growing team, working remotely from South Africa. This role is critical in ensuring that loans are audited and monitored in line with approved credit terms and company policies, safeguarding portfolio quality and compliance from pre‑completion through to loan maturity.

Key Responsibilities
Pre-Completion Compliance
  • Audit loan documentation and facility agreements to confirm alignment with approved Credit Committee terms.
  • Verify all Conditions Precedent (e.g., insurance, valuations, KYC) are satisfied before loan disbursement.
  • Escalate discrepancies or missing requirements promptly to managers or legal teams.
  • Review funder‑related documentation to ensure accuracy of settlement statements and funding terms.
Post-Completion Review
  • Conduct thorough audits of executed loan files, ensuring all documents are signed, dated, and complete.
  • Confirm security registrations with Companies House and UK Land Registry within required timeframes.
  • Organise and maintain compliant loan files in internal systems, flagging exceptions and tracking resolutions.
Ongoing Compliance Monitoring
  • Track Conditions Subsequent (e.g., planning approvals, project milestones, paydowns) and maintain a compliance tracker.
  • Follow up with borrowers on outstanding obligations and elevate non‑compliance to portfolio managers.
  • Monitor Companies House alerts for relevant entities and report significant changes.
  • Set up property sales alerts (e.g., Rightmove) to track market comparables and provide weekly updates.
Operational & Portfolio Support
  • Update internal platforms (e.g., Airtable, Hypercore, or client platforms).
  • Support staged loan drawdowns by verifying compliance with pre‑drawdown conditions.
  • Assist with drafting offer extension letters, demand letters, and initial instruction letters for valuers and solicitors.
  • Prepare pro‑forma credit memos and contribute to portfolio reporting.
