Job summary

SavageOne Pty Ltd in Cape Town seeks a mid-level Graphic Designer specializing in POP, 3D and multimedia to join our onsite design team. You will conceptualise, design and adapt POP, POS and promotional materials for diverse retail projects, translating briefs into production-ready artwork that is visually compelling and structurally sound.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Graphic Design, Multimedia, 3D Design, Visual Communication or a related field.
• 2–4 years' relevant experience in graphic design, multimedia, POP, POS, retail, exhibition or related design environments.
• Proven experience in 3D, multimedia and/or Point of Purchase (POP) design.
• Strong conceptual and creative design ability.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
• Experience with relevant 3D design/rendering software would be advantageous.
• Understanding of artwork preparation and production processes.
• Understanding of physical/structural design and how creative concepts translate into manufactured products.
• Experience working within a fast-paced agency, design studio, production or POP environment would be advantageous.
• Proficiency in Apple Mac.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualise and develop design solutions for a range of POP, POS and retail products.
• Interpret briefs provided by the Account Executive and ensure client requirements are met.
• Translate creative concepts into structurally sound, production-ready designs.
• Develop and adapt 2D and 3D concepts for physical marketing and retail environments.
• Assist with the development of 3D visualisations, renders and multimedia concepts for client presentations.
• Prepare artwork and design files for production, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Apply understanding of materials, substrates, manufacturing processes and production technologies.
• Collaborate with Production teams to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.
• Review prototypes, samples and finished artwork against concepts and quality standards.
• Make amendments based on client or production feedback.
• Maintain organised design files and proper archiving.
• Manage multiple projects with deadlines and quality standards.
• Work with Account Executives, Creative, Production and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in creative brainstorming and stay updated on trends and technologies.
