Overview

Description: Plant Engineer (Concentrator) role for a mining company. Will be responsible for managing the design, construction and commissioning of a mineral processing plant, followed by providing ongoing support to ensure optimal operation, effective maintenance, improved plant availability and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Manage the maintenance and repair activities of plant equipment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize plant performance and meet production targets.
• Implement and monitor maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety.
• Provide technical support and guidance to plant personnel.
• Monitor and control maintenance expenses within budgetary limits.

Qualifications

• Grade 12
• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• GCC Mines & Works
• 5 years experience (POST GCC) in an engineering role within the mining industry
• Valid Driver's License
