Job summary

Cotech Building Careers is recruiting a Construction Planner for our client in Maidstone. You will support the Construction Department and liaise with Development, Technical, Finance and Commercial teams across all project phases.

You will help develop planning systems, prepare and revise programmes, assist with logistics plans and tender presentations, produce 3D models, and contribute to CEMPs and progress reporting. Site visits will broaden knowledge and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing construction and pre-construction programmes.
• Ability to assist with preparation of logistics plans and tender presentations from a planning perspective.
• Familiarity with creating 3D models and CEMPs (Construction and Environmental Management Plans).
• Proficient in producing progress reporting schedules in Excel and maintaining programme records.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and revision of construction and pre-construction programmes.
• Assist with alteration of construction logistics plans, visual time slices and tender presentations.
• Assist with production of 3D models and CEMPs.
• Prepare progress schedules in Excel and update monthly progress reports.
• Maintain programme issue records and ensure proper distribution of up-to-date programmes.
• Obtain feedback from site to improve accuracy of reporting and planning.
• Visit sites to broaden knowledge of construction methods and standards.

We have a great opportunity for a Construction Planner to join our client's team based at their office in Maidstone. As a Construction Planner you will provide support to the Construction Department and interface with other Departments (i.e. Development, Technical, Finance and Commercial) during all phases of a project. This would be required over one or several projects, as and when required.

Requirements

• You will play a large part in developing one planning system You will play a large part in developing one planning system that will be used by the Construction department and the wider business.
• To assist with the preparation and revision of construction and pre construction programmes
• To assist with the preparation and alteration of construction logistics plans, visual time slices and tender presentations (from a construction planning perspective)
• To assist with the production of 3D models
• To assist with the preparation of CEMPs (Construction and Environmental Management Plans)
• To prepare sets of progress reporting schedules in Excel
• To update a monthly progress report on projects
• To maintain the programme issue record, correct filings and ensure proper distribution of up-to-date programmes and logistics
• To obtain feedback from site regarding programme accuracy, with the view to improvement going forward
• Visits to site, with the objective of broadening knowledge of construction methodology and building standards, as well as to verify progress reported by these sites.
