Job summary

BigTalent is seeking an intermediate to senior PHP Plugin Developer to create, maintain and troubleshoot custom eCommerce plugins for WooCommerce and Magento.

The role requires collaboration with the Integration team to ensure seamless payment gateway integrations and ongoing merchant support. You will contribute to high-quality, secure, and scalable plugins for a great user experience.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in PHP, with focus on eCommerce plugin development.
• Experience with Magento or similar eCommerce platforms.
• 3–6 years of hands-on plugin development experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and update e-commerce plugins for WooCommerce, Magento, OpenCart and PrestaShop to improve platform function and 3rd-party integrations.
• Assist merchants with plugin installations, configurations, and troubleshooting post-deployment.
• Collaborate with Integration team and cross-functional teams (Back end, frontend, QA).
• Ensure code quality and best practices for plugin development.
• Maintain expertise across e-commerce platforms and integrations.

Our client is a dynamic, young company (5yrs) based in JHB North. They are a fast- growing FinTech and looking for an intermediate or senior level PHP Plugin Developer, who will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting custom eCommerce plugins for WooCommerce and Magento platforms.

This role involves close collaboration with the Integration team to ensure seamless integration with payment gateways and third-party services, while providing ongoing support to merchants. The developer will play a key role in delivering high-quality, secure, and scalable plugins, ensuring a smooth user experience

Responsibilities:

Build and update e-commerce plugins for WooCommerce, Magento, OpenCart and PrestaShop to improve platform function and 3rd-party integrations.

Assist merchants with plugin installations, configurations, and troubleshooting issues that arise post-deployment.

Collaboration with Integration team & cross functional collaboration with other development teams as well (Back end, frontend, QA)
