Job summary

PathCare in Klerksdorp is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician with proven competence in phlebotomy and a strong ethics aligned with PathCare values. You will perform phlebotomy procedures, ensure sample integrity, and provide compassionate patient care in a busy pathology lab.

The ideal candidate is fluent in English with Afrikaans understanding, holds HPCSA registration, and is willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Job description

An opportunity exists for a Phlebotomy Technician to join the team at our Klerksdorp branch. We are seeking an individual who displays a proven track record of competence in Phlebotomy and who has a high level of ethics and integrity while consistently aligning with the PathCare values.

Key Competency Requirements
  • Phlebotomy Technician qualification and registered with HPCSA
  • Computer literate with Meditech knowledge is advantageous
  • Phlebotomy experience essential
  • Must have a valid Code B driver’s license (manual transmission)
  • Pathology experience is highly advantageous which includes order of draw and running of Point of Care instruments i.e. Hemocue, Stratus & running of arterial blood gas on the machine.
