Job summary

A recruitment agency in Cape Town is seeking a Pharmacy Retail Assistant to provide excellent customer service, manage stock, and assist pharmacy staff. Overview

Our client, based in Blouberg, is looking for a Pharmacy Retail Assistant.

It would be expected from you to assist customers, to offer a high standard of service to customers on the shop floor and at the till points. You enjoy engaging with people and get genuine satisfaction in creating a great first impression and a positive experience.

Responsibilities
  • Follow stock management processes and monitor stock availability.
  • Maintain a high store standard through daily housekeeping and merchandising principles.
  • Maintain high levels of accuracy when dealing with cash and prevent shrinkage and loss.
  • Greet and assist customers with their inquiries and purchases.
  • Provide advice on front shop products under supervision.
  • Replenish and organise shelves, ensuring products are displayed neatly.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order replacement and new stock.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organisation throughout the store.
  • Follow all health, safety and hygiene guidelines.
  • Support pharmacy staff with administrative tasks as required.
  • Stay updated on promotions, new products and pharmacy policies.
  • Be visible, friendly and knowledgeable to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Have a positive effect on sales by displaying good customer interaction.
  • Always be vigilant and honest in daily activities.
Desired Experience & Qualification
  • Grade 12; tertiary qualification will be an advantage.
  • Minimum 2–3 years working experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
