Job summary
Placements24 is assisting a reputable pharmaceutical company in Soweto, Gauteng to hire a Pharmacovigilance Specialist. You will monitor, assess, and report adverse events, ensuring regulatory compliance and timely PSUR/DSUR submissions.
The ideal candidate holds a healthcare degree and at least 2 years in pharmacovigilance, with strong attention to detail, data-entry skills, and collaboration across Clinical Operations and Regulatory Affairs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Nursing, Life Sciences or related healthcare field.
- 2+ years of pharmacovigilance or drug safety knowledge.
- Familiarity with pharmacovigilance databases and safety reporting systems.
- Strong analytical and attention to detail, with good communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Collect, process and evaluate adverse event reports from multiple sources.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry into PV database.
- Perform case assessments for seriousness, causality and expectedness.
- Prepare and submit PSURs/DSURs as required.
- Monitor global regulatory requirements for PV.
- Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs and Medical Affairs.
- Assist in developing and implementing PV SOPs.
- Support signal detection and risk management activities.
- Respond to queries regarding AE data and maintain PV records.
