Placements24 is looking for a Pharmacovigilance Officer in Vereeniging to monitor the safety profile of pharmaceutical products and ensure compliance with global pharmacovigilance regulations. You will collect, assess, and report adverse events and maintain safety databases in a collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare field and at least 2 years of PV experience, with knowledge of SAHPRA, FDA, and EMA requirements, plus experience with safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Nursing, Life Sciences, or related healthcare field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Pharmacovigilance or drug safety.
• Knowledge of international regulatory requirements for pharmacovigilance (e.g., SAHPRA, FDA, EMA).
• Experience with pharmacovigilance databases and safety reporting systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Collect, process, and assess adverse event reports from various sources (healthcare professionals, patients, literature).
• Enter and maintain accurate safety data in the company's pharmacovigilance database.
• Prepare and submit regulatory safety reports (e.g., Periodic Safety Update Reports,ICSRS) to health authorities.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of safety monitoring plans and risk management plans.
• Liaise with internal departments (e.g., Medical, Regulatory) and external stakeholders on safety matters.
• Stay current with global pharmacovigilance regulations and guidelines.
