Main Purpose of the Role

The successful incumbent will be obligated to ensure adherence to statutory requirements as outlined in the Pharmacy Act, Medicines and Related Substances Control Act, and all associated regulations. The incumbent will also act as a Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Quality representative, maintaining quality of pharmaceutical product integrity and ensuring compliance with regulatory authorities.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in upholding all compliance obligations set forth in the Pharmacy Act and Medicines and Related Substances Act for DSV Solutions' business unit.
  • Uphold GxP principles at DSV Solutions Gauteng Park wholesale pharmacy.
  • Support Responsible pharmacist through communication of current issues ensuring ongoing HealthcareQMS compliance within the pharmaceutical instance.
  • Participate in audits (internal, client, statutory or other).
  • Participate in non‑conformance closure through appropriate implementation of remedial action & deviation tracking.
  • Maintain flow of products and ensure accurate record keeping.
  • Participate in stock disposition decisions regarding product damage, market returns, product recalls and product complaints (pharmacovigilance) under guidance of the Responsible Pharmacist.
  • Participate in procedures associated with product lifecycles: receiving, sampling, retention, returned/rejected, re‑packing and others.
  • Develop and implement operational processes, procedures, process flows and documentation in pursuit of pharmaceutical quality.
  • Participate in CAPA process to ensure successful closure of identified shortcomings.
  • Maintain document control, Site Master File, Quality Manual & Policy.
  • Implement Validation Master Plan.
  • Support batch quarantine, sampling, release and documentation.
  • Maintain central reporting repository in respect of DSV Contract Logistics Gauteng Park SLAs.
  • Participate in continual improvement.
  • Full participation in waste management support.
  • Engage in operational undertakings to ensure prompt escalation to the responsible pharmacist / Quality Lead and relevant manager in event of system failure or operational weaknesses.
  • Support Compliance Specialists in ensuring facility is maintained in a compliant manner.
  • Aid and apply knowledge for general functions.
  • Support training and team support.
