Job summary

A leading retail group in Eastern Cape is seeking a Pharmacist Locum to ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and oversee daily operations. The ideal candidate should possess a BPharm degree, be registered as a pharmacist, and have patient counselling skills. This role requires experience in retail pharmacy and strong knowledge of dispensing systems. Closing date for applications is November 15, 2025.

Qualifications

Purpose of the Job
  • Medicite makes use of Pharmacist Locums to take responsibility for Pharmacies in selected Shoprite, Checkers & Checkers Hyper Stores in the Eastern Cape.
  • As Pharmacist Locum you will be required to amongst other:
  • Take responsibility as the On duty Pharmacist and ensure compliance with all Good Pharmacy Practice requirements;
  • Ensuring ethical compliance with statutory legislation;
  • Patient counselling;
  • Drug interventions;
  • Overseeing the daily running of the store;
  • Supervising staff;
  • Being able to work on Unisolve; and
  • Cash and Banking.
