Job summary

Mediclinic Upington is seeking a qualified Pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical services within the hospital setting. You will ensure accurate dispensing, maintain stock levels of medicines and scheduled substances, and support cost-effective patient care.

The role requires a B Pharm, knowledge of medicines legislation, and proficiency with pharmacy systems such as UNISOLVE and AS400, alongside strong computer skills and understanding of Medical Aid benefits.

Qualifications

• Current relevant legislation e.g. Medicines and Related Substances Control Act.
• Financial management.
• Good pharmacy practices.
• Medical Aid Scheme benefits; regulations and formularies.
• Clinical pharmacy and antimicrobial stewardship.
• Pharmacy systems (e.g. UNISOLVE; AS400).
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office).
• Ethical product knowledge.
