Job summary

Clicks Hatfield Plaza is recruiting a Pharmacist Assistant to support dispensing activities and dispenser administration in a busy Clicks pharmacy. The role focuses on delivering high-quality customer care within the South African pharmaceutical framework.

The successful candidate will assist in stock control, customer service, and day-to-day pharmacy operations, while upholding SOPs and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Matric with Maths is essential.
• Health Professions Council of South Africa requirements for Pharmacist Assistant levels.
• Relevant experience in dispensing or pharmacy operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide pharmaceutical care within scope of practice.
• Perform day-to-day dispensary administration and stock control.
• Ensure efficient dispensary administration and accurate paperwork.
• Offer general health advice to customers.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and product display.
• Handle ad hoc operational requirements as needed.

Introduction

Responsible for providing pharmaceutical care services (within scope of practice) and performing day-to-day dispensary administration according to company's Standard Operating Plans (SOPs).

Job Objectives:

• High standards of customer service and care
• Efficient stock control and administration, including repacking of medicine
• Efficient dispensary administration
• Provision of general health advice
• High standards of housekeeping and merchandise display
• Ad hoc requirements as per operational requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

• Matric with Maths (Essential)
• Minimum requirements of the Health Professions Council of South Africa for the various levels as a Pharmacist Assistant (Qualified, Post Basic and Learner Basic)
