Introduction

We are a well-established company based in Boksburg, proudly specializing in the import and retail of truck parts.

We are currently seeking a dependable, trustworthy, and professionally presented individual to join our team as a Personal Assistant to the Operations Manager.

This position is perfect for someone who's passionate about their career, eager to learn, and ready to grow within a supportive and professional environment. The successful candidate will possess the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

As the Personal Assistant will be engaging directly with both local and international suppliers, a well‑presented and well‑spoken demeanour is vital.

Duties & Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Provide full admin and personal support to the Operations Manager; Managing stationary inventory, ensuring stock levels are maintained, and supplying employees as required for two branches; Coordinating the procurement of office consumables; Overseeing the ordering and distribution of employee uniforms; Handling the acquisition of groceries; Renewal of motor vehicle licenses; Scheduling motor vehicle services and coordinating vehicle deliveries to the dealership; Identifying and liaising with contractors for office or home maintenance work; Generating Purchase Orders for locally sourced stock; Maintaining an organized calendar, diarizing appointments, and arranging doctor's appointments; Managing personal errands, including shopping, selecting birthday gifts, and pharmacy visits; Welcoming and assisting guests, both local and international, and arranging refreshments; Ensuring up‑to‑date filing practices; Overseeing the dealer stock of all purchased trucks; Booking conference venues and organizing dinners and functions; Handling email correspondence and redirecting messages to relevant departments when the Manager's desk is unattended; Screening calls and maintaining discretion; Compiling year‑end parcels for customers and distributing calendars to clients; Facilitating the upgrade and distribution of company cell phones, including purchasing screen protectors and cases.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Our ideal candidate will:

Possess a Grade 12 certificate (Personal Assistant or Secretarial qualification will be an advantage); Have a minimum of 3 years' proven experience as a Personal Assistant or in a similar support role; Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills; Show exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational ability; Assist with project coordination and ensure effective follow‑up on key tasks and deadlines; Display strong computer literacy in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word; Be able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team; Handle confidential information with the utmost integrity and discretion; Exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions when required; Possess strong interpersonal skills and maintain a professional, well‑groomed appearance; Approach situations with tact, professionalism, and a solutions‑oriented mindset; Show initiative, reliability, and a proactive approach to anticipating needs and solving problems; Be adaptable, resourceful, and capable of managing multiple priorities under pressure; Be trustworthy, approachable, and committed to excellence in service delivery; Hold a valid driver's licence and have access to a reliable vehicle.
