Job summary

Adidas in Johannesburg is seeking a fashion-forward retail associate to deliver outstanding customer service and drive sales. You will assist with stock flow from the backroom to the shop floor, help create engaging product displays, and ensure accurate ticketing and paperwork for received merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the highest level of adidas service is given to each customer.
• Completes regular sales transactions involving cash, credit, checks, etc.
• Involved with ticketing of products and verifying paperwork for received items.
• Assists in moving stock from the stockroom to the sales floor on an fill-in basis.
• Helps develop product displays and follows store management schedules.
• Learn the POS system and maintain policy and procedure compliance.
• Uses selling techniques to increase sales and meet store goals.
• Greet customers and assist them in finding the right product; may greet at the door during busy times.
• Maintain general housekeeping and safekeeping of company assets.
• Support loss prevention and report suspicious activity per security procedures.
• Participate in in-store training or digital training (Atticus/AREA) to gain product knowledge and best practices.
• Familiarize yourself with Power BI to understand store performance, bestsellers, and stock movements.

PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANIZATION:

Assist management in day-to-day store maintenance while providing excellent service and observing and maintaining all store policies and procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensures the highest level of adidas service is given to each customer.

As needed, completes any regular sales transactions involving cash, credit, checks, etc.

Involved indirectly with ticketing of products as well as checking paperwork against items received.

Assists in product flow from stockroom to sales floor on afill-inbasis.

Assists in the development of displays of merchandise or follow suggestions or schedules provided by the store management team.

Attain proficiency with the point-of-sale system by acquiring system utilization skills. Ensure integrity is maintained through attention to policy and procedure.

Uses selling techniques such as add on sales and describing technical information to customers to enhance salesmanship and reach store and position sales goals.

Greets customers in the store and assists them in finding the right product. Occasionally, serves primarily as a Greeter at the front door during busy workdays.

Maintaining general housekeeping standards(Including cleaning of thestore)

Safekeeping of Company assets

Loss prevention, monitoring sales floor and reportingany suspicious activity and follow security procedures/ SLAP.

Ensure they take part inin-storetrainingor digitaltrainingprovided by the company (Atticus/AREA) to ensure they have product knowledge and role best practice.

Familiarize themselves with Power BI tools to have more understanding of store performance,bestsellers / blackholeproduct.
