Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join a specialized therapy team in Soweto. You will assess and treat infants, children, and adolescents with daily living and learning skill challenges.

The role focuses on developing individualized therapy programs to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, coordination, and self-care, with collaboration across healthcare professionals and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Registered with the relevant professional board (e.g., HPCSA in South Africa).
• Experience working with pediatric populations across various age groups and developmental needs.
• Knowledge of pediatric conditions and therapeutic approaches (e.g., sensory integration, developmental therapy).
• Excellent assessment, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for pediatric clients.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address fine motor, gross motor, sensory, and self-regulation challenges.
• Provide therapeutic interventions through engaging activities and evidence-based practices.
• Educate and train parents and caregivers on strategies to support their child's development at home and in the community.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, educators, and therapists to ensure a holistic approach to child care.
