Payroll Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and control the quality of payroll team activities to ensure accurate and timely payment.

Execute work according to operating procedures and SLAs.

Adhere to governance, compliance, and financial control procedures.

Monitor and report on team's transactional activities; provide timely information for decision making.

Plan, coordinate and deliver activities to meet operational objectives (daily to 3 months).

Coordinate learning interventions to foster a development culture.

Prevent financial losses through daily monitoring of team activities.

Meet and exceed internal and external customer expectations.

Approve month-end reconciliations and payment files.

Create and distribute reports.

Validate and analyze financial and non-financial data.

Foster a positive work climate aligned with the employee value proposition.

Qualifications

Grade 12 minimum.

Bachelor's or equivalent 3-year degree (NQF Level 7).

Experience & Skills

Up to 5 years of experience in a similar environment, with at least 2 years of tactical leadership or specialist experience.

Proficient in reporting and data interpretation.

Intermediate knowledge of labour relations procedures.
