A leading mining company in South Africa is seeking a Payroll Manager to oversee payroll functions for nationals and expatriates. The ideal candidate should have a BCom degree and at least 10 years of experience, with extensive knowledge of payroll processes and experience managing multinational payroll. Proficiency in SAGE and advanced Excel skills are essential for this role, among other responsibilities related to payroll audits and reporting.

The development of the Kamoa‑Kakula copper mining complex in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), the Platreef palladium‑rhodium‑platinum‑nickel‑copper‑gold discovery in South Africa, the extensive redevelopment and upgrading of the historic Kipushi zinc‑copper‑Germanium‑silver mine, also in the DRC and exploration on the Western Foreland, near Kamoa‑Kakula.
To manage, optimise and coordinate IVANHOE's payroll (for nationals and expatriates), ensuring compliance with laws, policy and tax obligations.
The Payroll Manager leads a team of specialists looking after the payroll function in SA, UK, Canada (and to a lesser extent the DRC), manages payroll audits, facilitates optimal system (Sage) implementation, and supervises and coordinates the payroll administration, processing and reporting functions.
The incumbent establishes the labour budget, oversees the termination process and collaborates extensively with HR, Finance and Legal teams to drive optimisation and alignment.
