A leading HR consulting firm in Johannesburg seeks a Payroll / HR Administrator to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing and support essential HR functions. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of HR/payroll experience, proficiency in Sage VIP Cloud, and the ability to manage compliance with industry regulations. This role requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive mindset.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years HR / payroll experience in a manufacturing / engineering environment.
  • Sage VIP Cloud experience is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with MIBFA / MEIBC regulations and HRIS platforms.

Job description

Purpose :

Join a team where precision, people, and purpose intersect. As a Payroll / HR Administrator you’ll ensure our employees are paid on time, in full, always legally , while supporting critical HR functions that keep our organization running smoothly and compliantly.

What You'll Do :

Run payroll for monthly, weekly, and subcontractor staff using Sage VIP Cloud – accurately and on time.

Maintain payroll and leave records , ensuring compliance with MEIBC, MIBFA, and SARS.

Respond to employee payroll queries and discrepancies within 24 hours.

Coordinate recruitment , interviews, psychometrics, onboarding, and internal communications.

Assist with performance reviews , disciplinary prep , and HRIS updates .

Ensure HR practices meet ISO 9001 : 2015 standards .

Support BBBEE reporting, EMP501 submissions, and HR audits.

Actively contribute to our safety culture , performance tracking, and HR documentation systems.

What We're Looking For :

3+ years HR / payroll experience in a manufacturing / engineering environment.

Sage VIP Cloud experience (mandatory) .

Familiarity with MIBFA / MEIBC regulations and HRIS platforms.

Matric + HR Diploma (NQF5) or similar qualification.

Exceptional attention to detail , confidentiality , and time management .

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
