Job summary

A leading mining equipment supplier in South Africa is seeking a Payroll Administrator to manage payroll data, ensure accuracy, and support HR functions. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 to 5 years of experience in an HR administrator role and familiarity with payroll systems like Workday and SAGE. A Grade 12 qualification and Payroll Certificate are essential. This role offers a chance to contribute to a fair and inclusive workplace environment.

Qualifications

  • 2 to 5 years in an HR administrator role.
  • Knowledge of METAL Industries Bargaining Council, Chemical Industries Bargaining Council, and SA Labour Law.

Responsibilities

  • Compile payroll data and reconcile errors.
  • Maintain payroll records in the payroll system.
  • Enter and process payroll information and prepare payroll checks.
  • Manage absence records and other payroll related queries.
  • Administer weekly and monthly payroll and process all deductions.
  • Provide advice on pay and remuneration issues, including promotions and benefits.
  • Undertake regular salary reviews.
  • Analyze training needs in conjunction with departmental managers.
  • Plan and deliver training, including inductions for new staff.
  • Assist in maintaining the entire employee life‑cycle process.
  • Prepare and distribute payslips and produce payroll and financial reports.
  • Maintain employee files and support payroll governance.

Job Position

Payroll Administrator – Ground Support area.

Job Responsibilities
