Job summary

A leading payroll management company in South Africa is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to manage and oversee payroll processes using Sage People. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to work under pressure. Responsibilities include capturing hours, calculating overtime, and handling employee requests. This role offers market-related remuneration based on experience and skills.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years experience as payroll administrator on Sage People.
  • Experience on weekly & monthly payrolls for shift working employees.
  • Experience with MERSETA submissions would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Capturing weekly and monthly hours on Sage People.
  • Calculating and monitoring overtime per department.
  • Submissions of accurate month end reports from Sage People.

Job description
Duties & Responsibilities

Capturing of weekly and monthly hours on Sage People.Calculating and monitoring overtime per department.Submissions of accurate month end reports from Sage People.EEA and Skills Development WSP & ATR submissions.Capturing leave, sick leave & family responsibility leave on Sage People.Exporting hours from Biometrix system and balancing of hours on Sage People.Ensuring that hours and shifts are correctly allocated on the Biometrix system.Liaise with HODs on their employees' shift allocation roster.Meticulous with capturing of Employees' gradings / rate of pay on Sage People.Capturing new employee profiles.Capturing changes on employees' personal information.Calculating employees' leave & bonus payments in terms of MEIBC Main Agreement.Capturing terminated employees.Issuing terminated employees with termination documents as per MIBFA & DOL.RMA : Capturing RMD 5 and SOEs on RMA Portal.Loading employees' personal information and qualifications on Sage People.

Desired Experience & Qualification

At least 5 years experience as payroll administrator on Sage People.Experience on weekly & monthly payrolls - plus - shift working employees.Advanced Excel : Knowledge of Vlookup and pivot tables are essential.Post matric qualification / diploma / Certificate in Payroll administration.

Preference
