Human Resources Generalist
Human Resources Generalist to partner with the manufacturing operations, located in Pinetown. This opportunity is great for a human resources professional with a strong employee relations and training & development experience in a unionized manufacturing environment.
About the Role
This is a dynamic role and the incumbent will be responsible for employee relations, talent acquisition and organizational development. This role reports directly to the HR Manager.
What You Will Do
- Support and serve as point-of-contact on Human Resources topics for both employees and line managers.
- Responsible for Talent Acquisition across different levels within the organization.
- Provide sound advice, support and execute various activities on Employee and ensure compliance with legal requirements of various Acts within legislation.
- Provide guidance to both employees and line management on policies and procedures.
- Provide support and activities with various legislated authorization bodies.
- Participate and have an active role in Organizational Development initiatives, Training and Development and general Human Resources Administration.
- Secure and improve process delivery and contribution to overall high-quality Human Resources Information System within the organization.
- Provide professional HR support in all operational/administrative HR issues related to agreed activities.
- Participate in projects and contribute to a service culture to fulfill the service level agreement with various stakeholders.
Requirements
- Matric and Tertiary HR Qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years HR partnering experience in a unionized manufacturing environment, and experience in dealing with SETA's.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and strong functional knowledge of HR Information Systems. Workday experience will be beneficial.
- Excellent communicator (written, verbal and listening) and able to engage in a professional manner at various levels within the business.
- Meticulous attention to detail, innovative with the ability to drive processes forward.
- Analytical, insightful, courageous and decisive.
- Works well within a team and collaborates across functional teams at all levels.
- High levels of integrity, care and honesty.
