🔍 About the Role

We’re looking for a Partner Manager: Strategic Partnerships to manage, grow, and optimise relationships with fintechs and POS providers within the Lesaka Merchant ecosystem.

This role blends strategic commercial focus with operational excellence, ensuring our partners and merchants receive premium‑class support, performance management, and growth enablement.

💼 The position is hands‑on and focused on:

  • Manage and nurture relationships with fintech and POS channel partners
  • Drive partner engagement, growth strategies, and commercial outcomes
  • Deliver premium service experiences and resolve partner queries promptly
  • Support onboarding, training, and operational readiness for new services
  • Collaborate with Product, Tech, Marketing, and Sales for seamless integration
  • Execute co‑branded campaigns and go‑to‑market initiatives
  • Monitor partner KPIs, SLAs, and performance metrics
  • Ensure compliance with legal and governance frameworks
📈 Duties & Responsibilities
  • Partnership Management & Growth: Build and maintain strong relationships with fintech and POS partners, drive engagement, and deliver growth targets.
  • Operational & Service Excellence: Ensure premium service delivery, resolve partner queries promptly, and support onboarding and training.
  • Commercial & Business Development: Identify upsell and cross‑sell opportunities, prepare business cases, and support negotiations.
  • Product Integration & Enablement: Collaborate with Product and Tech teams for seamless integration and go‑live readiness.
  • Marketing & Go‑to‑Market Execution: Plan and execute co‑branded campaigns and activations to drive adoption.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track KPIs, SLAs, and partner performance; provide regular reports and insights.
  • Compliance & Administration: Ensure adherence to legal, governance, and internal compliance frameworks.
🎓 Qualifications & Experience

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, or related field
  • Postgraduate qualification (e.g., MBA) advantageous

Experience:

  • 5–8 years in partnership management, business development, or account management
  • Experience in fintech, payments, or POS ecosystems highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of commercial negotiations, contract management, and partner enablement
  • Proven track record in driving growth through strategic partnerships
  • Familiarity with product integration, API environments, and go‑to‑market execution

Skills:
