<h3>Role Purpose / Business Unit</h3>
<p>The incumbent is required to build, develop and maintain a pipeline of potential partners for the Vodapay Club and Vouchering propositions including :</p>
<ul>
<li>Identification of potential partners</li>
<li>Provide day‑to‑day on‑boarding and management of various retail partners</li>
</ul>
<h3>Business development and negotiation of commercials</h3>
<p>Account management and servicing, and support of existing partners including presentations of performance at a senior management and executive level</p>
<p>Further responsibilities include collaboration between different business units with Vodacom Financial Services and Vodacom South Africa to ensure an efficient working relationship.</p>
<p>The incumbent will be responsible for sourcing, negotiation, on‑boarding and the day‑to‑day management of retail partners.</p>
<h3>Your responsibilities will include</h3>
<ul>
<li>Manage complex partner negotiations</li>
<li>Establish new partnerships across market segments</li>
<li>Retain and grow existing partnerships</li>
<li>Generate and execute initiatives to drive top line GMV growth across partners and overall voucher adoption across all relevant market segments</li>
<li>Determine technical, marketing and commercial roadmaps with partners to define and execute joint digital product initiatives</li>
<li>Review, analyse and evaluate success of initiatives against key KPIs, including preparation and delivery of executive committee presentations</li>
<li>eCommerce platform partner catalogue management</li>
</ul>
<h3>Collaboration</h3>
<p>Feature Definition : Work closely with stakeholders to define product features and specifications, ensuring alignment with user needs and business goals</p>
<p>Agile Leadership : Implement agile methodologies for product development, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of features and improvements</p>
<p>Release Management : Oversee the release process, coordinating with development, marketing, and customer support teams to ensure smooth product launches</p>
<h3>Customer Focus</h3>
<p>Customer Research : Conduct market research and gather customer feedback to identify opportunities for product enhancement and new feature development</p>
<p>User Experience (UX) : Collaborate with UX / UI designers to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces that enhance the overall customer experience</p>
<p>Customer Support : Work with customer support teams to address product‑related issues promptly and effectively, maintaining high customer satisfaction levels</p>
<h3>Business Alignment</h3>
<p>Revenue Growth : Drive initiatives to increase product adoption and revenue generation, collaborating with sales and marketing teams on go‑to‑market strategies</p>
<p>Competitive Analysis : Monitor competitors and industry trends to identify competitive threats and opportunities for differentiation</p>
<p>Financial Management : Manage the product budget effectively, ensuring resources are allocated appropriately to meet business objectives and business P&L</p>
<h3>Compliance & Risk Management</h3>
<p>Regulatory Compliance : Stay informed about regulatory requirements related to fintech and payment processing, ensuring the product meets all necessary compliance standards</p>
<p>Risk Assessment : Identify potential risks associated with product development and operations, implementing mitigation strategies as needed</p>
<h3>The ideal candidate for this role will have</h3>
<p>BCom / Commercial degree</p>
<p>5+ years of experience in business development</p>
<h3>Key Competencies</h3>
<ul>
<li>Strong interpersonal skills</li>
<li>Experience in managing a portfolio of retail partners</li>
<li>Account management experience</li>
<li>Ability to work under pressure</li>
</ul>
<h3>Experience engaging and influencing C-level executives</h3>
<p>Strong commercial acumen across digital industries with the ability to coordinate legal, technical, and commercial teams to develop and close high‑profile partnerships</p>
<p>Track record of partner account management, relationship building and commercial management skills with eCommerce experience a plus</p>
<p>Knowledge of loyalty industry will be advantageous</p>
