Role Details

Part Time Primary School Spanish Teacher

with effect from January 2026

We are looking for an exceptionally dedicated, creative, caring and nurturing Spanish teacher. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching young children, as well as having the ability to ensure our students feel supported and excited about learning. You must be able to create a fun and inspiring learning experience. Join us in sparking curiosity and helping young learners discover the joy of learning a new language.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching seven (7) hours a week
  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the curriculum.
  • Create a safe and stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and personal growth.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of learners.
  • Teach across multiple age groups (7-12 years old) using adaptable, age-appropriate strategies to meet varying learning needs.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and school leadership.
  • Support learners’ emotional and social development.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor of Education ( B.Ed ) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Registered with SACE and in good standing.
  • Proven experience teaching in a Primary School.
  • Competence with educational technology tools.
  • Strong communication, planning, and classroom management skills.
  • A passion for Primary School education and a growth mindset.
Advantageous
  • Knowledge and experience teaching the Cambridge Curriculum.

  • A copy of your permanent SACE certificate and number, in the case of Educator applications.
  • In the case of non-South Africans, provision of a valid work visa enabling the prospective employee to be employed at ISCT
  • Full disclosure of any relevant and/or material reason that may impact ISCT’s decision when making an appointment.
