For over 30 years, customers have come to Petbarn for exceptional products, outstanding service, the best advice, and an experience second to none! We have exciting career opportunities for people with the right stuff, and who love pets!
We are looking for an extremely friendly Dog Trainer to work on a part‑time basis in our Wetherill Park Petbarn store.
Your primary role will be delivering dog training classes and one‑on‑one dog training. Your initial onboarding will also include retail training and store procedures as well as in depth training of our Pet School classes and operations.
You must be reliable, determined to meet high standards, flexible regarding working days and hours and able to work unsupervised. You must be able to work on weekends.
You must be willing to deliver the pet training content as provided to you to remain within our animal welfare and ethics guidelines, as well as undertaking regular paid training sessions with our senior Trainers to refresh and improve your skills.
As part of your responsibilities, you must be physically fit and capable so as to handle dogs of all sizes as reasonably expected of the role. You may be required to lift heavy items up to 20 kg (e.g., bags of dog food). In your training role you will likely be required to work with species other than dogs as well in the future (i.e., kitten/cat and aquatic classes).
We are looking for people who want to grow with the business and who are determined to work with a team to achieve results.
We're looking for motivated and talented people who enjoy what they do and thrive in a training and sales environment. If you share our love for the pet parents we serve, the merchandise we sell, and the work we do, this is a place for you to build a rewarding career.
