Qualifications

• Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
• Proficiency in Pastel Partner, Xero, or QuickBooks.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and SA tax regulations.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Record all financial transactions accurately and promptly.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable with timely invoicing and collections.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations regularly.
• Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns and other statutory filings.
• Maintain the general ledger and assist with month-end close.
• Provide financial reports and summaries to management as required.
