Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Early Childhood Educator and Nanny for two children in Mahikeng, North West. This part-time role focuses on nurturing development through play, planning activities, and daily routines in the family's home.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years childcare experience, formal ECD qualification, and First Aid/ CPR certification. Reliable, patient, and passionate about young children are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in childcare, preferably with toddlers and preschoolers.
• Solid understanding of child development theories and practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• First Aid and CPR certification is required.
• Legal right to work in South Africa.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and safe care for two children aged 2 and 4.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate educational activities, focusing on play-based learning, arts, and crafts.
• Plan and conduct engaging outdoor and indoor play sessions.
• Prepare healthy snacks and light meals for the children.
• Manage children's daily routines, including naps, feeding, and hygiene.
• Ensure the children's environment is clean, safe, and stimulating.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding the children's activities, behavior, and developmental progress.
• Foster positive social interactions and emotional well-being.
• Maintain a consistent and loving approach to childcare.
