Placements24 is seeking an Environmental Services Assistant to support Mossel Bay operations. The role focuses on maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors. You will perform a variety of cleaning and sanitation tasks to ensure high standards of hygiene.

The position is part-time, on-site with flexible hours, and includes on-the-job training in a supportive team setting. Reliability and stamina are valued for a smooth daily operation.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning or environmental services experience is beneficial.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Physical stamina for cleaning tasks including standing, bending, and lifting up to 15 kg.
• Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and their safe usage.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning duties in designated areas, including dusting, sweeping, mopping and sanitizing.
• Clean and restock restrooms, ensuring they are hygienic and well-maintained.
• Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Assist with special cleaning projects as needed, such as floor care or window washing.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Report maintenance issues or supply needs to the supervisor promptly.
