ROLE SUMMARY

Inspired Education Group is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Senior Preparatory Dance Teacher to join our team at Reddam House Durbanville on a part‑time, permanent basis from January 2026.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and progressive Dance lessons that inspire and challenge students in the Senior Preparatory phase.
  • Set, assess, and record student work; provide timely and constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Evaluate and continuously improve teaching practice through reflection and professional development.
  • Contribute to school productions, performances, and extracurricular events that showcase student talent.
  • Maintain effective communication with parents, responding promptly to messages and queries.
  • Attend school events, staff meetings, and professional development sessions as required.
  • Promote the school’s ethos of respect, responsibility, and personal growth.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
  • A university degree with Certified Teaching Status (or equivalent).
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching Dance to students in the Senior Preparatory phase.
  • Strong classroom management and lesson planning skills.
  • Confidence in using ICT to enhance teaching and learning.
  • A genuine passion for Dance and the performing arts, coupled with a commitment to student wellbeing and development.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively and contribute positively to school life.
