PART-TIME CREATIVE ARTS ADMINISTRATOR (FIXED TERM – 12 MONTHS)

Dainfern College is an independent English-medium, co-educational school situated on Broadacres Drive, Dainfern, north of Fourways in Johannesburg. Dainfern College requires a Part-Time Creative Arts Administrator to provide administrative support to the College Creative Arts Departments and ensure the efficient running, communication and coordination of arts events, programmes and activities across the College.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be an organised, innovative and detail-oriented administrator.
  • Have a relevant administrative qualification and/or appropriate experience.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, scheduling and coordination skills.
  • Be proficient in managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Show strong strategic agility and initiative.
  • Display an enthusiasm for the Arts and support the College’s vision for a cohesive, vibrant cultural offering.

Key responsibilities would include:

  • General Administration Coordinating calendars, bookings, notifications and communication for Creative Arts events.
  • Managing requisitions, billing, payments and parent contra payments.
  • Overseeing venue bookings, consent forms, transport arrangements and risk management communication.
  • Coordinating catering, set-up, strike, storage and logistics for events.
  • Liaising with Marketing for social media, newsletter and app updates.
  • Managing awards administration including certificates, parent communication and award tracking.
  • Identifying opportunities for students and monitoring deadlines, fees and requirements.
  • Drama Arts Liaise with production teams that are organising costumes, props, makeup and set.
  • Liaising with photography teams for production shots.
  • Supporting VIP event arrangements.
  • Music Registering students for individual music lessons and music examination boards (Trinity & ABRSM).
  • Managing communication regarding venues, deadlines, certificates and fees.
  • Coordinating festivals, eisteddfods, tours and adjudicators.
  • Supporting specialist music teachers with room allocation, maintenance and communications.
  • Overseeing instrument movement and Breaktime Blues performances.
  • Visual Arts Arranging transport/couriers for artworks and exhibition materials.
  • Coordinating internal and external exhibition setups with Maintenance.
  • Managing entries, requisitions and logistics for art competitions.
  • Overseeing the Major Production set design team, assisting with props and set painting (including afternoon and weekend commitments).
