Job Title: Paraplanner

Role and Responsibilities

• Assist the Private Wealth Manager in the research and analysis of the client's financial situation, goals, and objectives
• Responsible for all-around financial planning, estate planning, investment research, product / solution recommendations
• Prepare and compile financial analysis reports, including cash flow analysis reports, investment projections, retirement planning and risk management
• Develop comprehensive financial plans that meet client's needs and objectives
• Make use of internal financial planning software to create scenarios and projections
• Ensure compliance with financial legislation and regulations throughout the financial planning process
• Support Private Wealth Managers to review clients\' files and identify planning opportunities
• Work closely with service providers to understand products
• Senior Certificate, Relevant Diploma / Degree, or an equivalent qualification

Certifications

• First Level Regulatory Exam for Representatives (RE5)
• First Level Regulatory Exam for Key Individuals (RE1)
• Certified Financial Planner

Experience and Skills

• Minimum 5 years' experience as either a planner or an advisor
• Previous experience in financial planning or paraplanning role
• Detailed knowledge of the South African financial market in the advisory space
• Detailed knowledge of the South African providers that we deal with
• Knowledge of the offshore providers is advantageous
• Strong understanding of financial planning concepts and strategies
• Excellent analytical and strong problem-solving abilities
• Must be able to work independently
• Good communication skills across a range of levels in the business
• Attention to detail and a high degree of data literacy
• Good time management and the ability to meet deadlines
