Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paraplanner to join our Financial Advisory Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing written Records of Advice, performing calculations, and providing technical support to our Wealth Managers and Advisors for both new and existing clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review written Records of Advice and financial plans in accordance with company policies
  • Conduct all necessary technical analyses, including fund comparisons, fee calculations, and product benefits
  • Assist in the coordination and monitoring of the paraplanning workflow to ensure deadlines are met
  • Support the development and maintenance of professional knowledge to meet industry and legal requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum of a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning
  • Broad technical knowledge across multiple product providers and benefit types
  • Strong report writing and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements for FAIS/FICA and a thorough understanding of compliance issues associated with financial advice
  • Experience using financial planning modeling software like Elite Wealth or Dynamics is preferred
  • Highly organized, self-starting, and able to work under pressure while managing multiple tasks and deadlines

  • Relevant Class of Business certifications in place
  • Fit and Proper status required
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a Financial Planning role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related software
  • Experience with professionals and high-net-worth clients
  • Driver's license and own vehicle Non-negotiable
  • Existing client book not required

Remuneration: Basic salary R30 000 - R40 000 plus commission.
