Our company has been a long-time leader in deploying AI and advanced technologies to the legal market to improve productivity and transform the overall business and practice of law, deploying ethical and powerful generative AI solutions with a flexible, multi-model approach that prioritizes using the best model from today's top model creators for each individual legal use case.

About The Role

As a Paralegal you will provide specialist support for LexisPSL's Scottish practical guidance, focusing on the priority practice areas (PPAs): Property, Dispute Resolution, Corporate Crime, Restructuring & Insolvency (R&I), and Private Client. You will relieve PSLs of routine maintenance and administrative tasks, enabling them to focus on content development and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Overseeing annual and ongoing legal maintenance reviews for Scottish guidance documents, ensuring they are current and compliant, and perform XML quality assurance on all content items.
  • Reviewing new and updated content for accuracy and completeness, handle PSL (Professional Support Lawyer) requests, and coordinate with PSLs and external experts for validation and publication.
  • Monitoring Scottish legal news sources daily, draft and publish news items, and maintain trackers for news analysis and journals.
  • Circulating Scottish case digests, ensure proper treatment of cases, and verify that cited pre-devolution legislation is available for research.
  • Maintaining and enhancing the Scotland Collection, conducting quarterly audits to ensure all content is properly linked and indexed.
  • Managing commissioning tasks by identifying and supporting authors, tracking progress, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality content.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks, metrics reporting, and support the organization of internal meetings and panel sessions.
  • Continuously seek improvements and efficiencies in content and processes, adapt content from other jurisdictions where possible, and support scalable drafting through AI and precedent development.
Requirements
  • Have a Legal qualification or paralegal experience, ideally with exposure to Scots law (Scottish law graduate preferred but not essential).
  • Have impeccable attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of documents and trackers.
  • Have experience in legal editorial work, XML QA, and toolkit maintenance.
  • Be able to monitor and synthesise legal news and developments from multiple sources.
  • Have excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with PSLs, authors, and external experts.
  • Be familiar with Lexis+, and related legal research platforms is desirable
