Sphere Digital Recruitment is partnering with a leading digital and performance agency in Cape Town to hire a Senior Account Executive, Paid Social. This hands-on role owns campaign performance, optimisation and client communication across multiple accounts.

The position offers a hybrid Cape Town setup (2 days in office, 3 remote). You will launch and optimise campaigns, monitor results, test new strategies, prepare insights for clients and support junior team members.

Cape Town | Hybrid - 2 days in office & 3 remote

We are currently working with a leading digital and performance agency in Cape Town that is looking for a Senior Account Executive, Paid Social to join its Digital Media team.

This is a hands-on Paid Social role for someone who is comfortable taking ownership of campaign performance, optimisation and client communication. You’ll work across a variety of client accounts, managing campaigns to a high standard while identifying opportunities to improve performance, test new approaches and support account growth.

At Senior Account Executive level, you’ll be expected to manage your day-to-day workload fairly independently, while also supporting junior members of the team where needed.

What you’ll be doing

• Build and launch high-quality Paid Social campaigns across relevant platforms.
• Take ownership of day-to-day campaign management and optimisation.
• Monitor campaign performance and carry out regular optimisations to improve results.
• Analyse performance trends, fluctuations and issues and implement solutions where possible.
• Manage budgets and pacing, ensuring accounts remain on track with no significant over or underspend.
• Develop and implement new creative tests, strategies, platform features and betas.
• Translate campaign data into clear insights, recommendations and next steps for clients.
• Lead day-to-day client communication within your area of responsibility.
• Build strong client relationships and respond to requests in a professional and timely manner.
• Support reporting and automated dashboards for relevant accounts.
• Stay up to date with new Paid Social platform developments and identify opportunities to test them.
• Share campaign learnings with the wider team and help support or guide junior team members.

What we’re looking for

You’ll ideally have strong hands‑on experience across Paid Social campaign management and optimisation, with a good understanding of platform metrics, campaign performance and budget management.

You should be comfortable:

• Managing and optimising campaigns independently.
• Analysing performance and making data‑led recommendations.
• Managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Communicating directly with clients.
• Testing new creatives, strategies and platform features.
