Social Paid Media Specialist

ABOUT THE ROLE:We’re looking for a highly skilled Social Paid Media Specialist to own the Meta and TikTok ad strategy and execution across UCOOK, Pet Heaven, and Faithful to Nature. You’ll work closely with our in-house creative studio and brand teams to drive growth, conversions, and brand storytelling across Meta-owned platforms (Facebook and Instagram) as well as TikTok ads. The role is based in our central Cape Town office in Woodstock.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute Meta and TikTok Ads strategy across all three brands.
  • Set up, monitor, and optimize campaigns with a clear eye on KPIs (ROAS, CAC, CTR, etc.).
  • Collaborate with studio and content teams to develop effective creatives
  • Collaborate with Organic Social Teams across the brands to ensure coherent organic and paid social media strategy
  • Collaborate with other paid media specialist (Google Suite) to align overall paid media strategy
  • Conduct A/B testing across copy, visuals and placements.
  • Provide regular performance reports and insights to key stakeholders.
  • Stay on top of Meta platform and general social paid media changes and trends.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Analytical mindset and confidence in using data to inform decisions.
  • Strong grasp of paid social KPIs, attribution models, and campaign structures.
  • Ability to craft compelling social strategies and campaigns to drive new customer acquisition
  • Experience working with creative teams and briefing assets.
  • Ability to juggle multiple brand strategies simultaneously.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3–5 years experience in Meta and TikTok Ads management (agency or in-house).
  • Demonstrated experience working in cross-functional teams (Marketing, Tech and Data).
  • Proven ability to work independently, make decisions, and problem-solve in complex environments.
  • Strong affinity to work with numbers, analyse, understand and draw conclusions
  • Experience with other paid media platforms (Google, YouTube, etc.).
  • Experience implementing social paid media strategies across eCommerce and traditional brick and mortar are advantages.
