Midwest Bus Sales Inc. This is an outside sales type position that requires a self-starter, strong attention to detail, and the ability to build relationships with customers and coworkers.

The Outside Parts Sales position is responsible for maximizing the efficiency, revenue and productivity of the parts department and achieving the highest levels of customer satisfaction.

You must be able to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment with strong relationship skills and be very organized.

This job requires 80+% travel time visiting customers, building relationships, and delivering parts in a company vehicle.

  • Visiting and communicating with customers on all aspects of Parts & Service department.
  • Promoting products and service from Parts & Service department such as looking up and researching parts, explaining critical details, providing estimates to the customer and finalizing invoices.
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills on Freightliner, Thomas, Accelerator and Proceed to be able to look up parts needed while onsite with customer.
  • Performs all computer functions necessary to track orders, build quotes and email customer contact follow up.
  • Ability to identify in‑house and other sourced parts opportunities.
  • Communicate daily with inside parts staff processing customer orders.
  • Communicate effectively with Parts Manager about AOR and customer feedback.
  • Order, sell and invoice parts to the customer with little to no assistance.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory, including counting inventory, warehouse organization.
  • Face‑to‑face communication skills, basic phone skills, cold calls and maintain CRM program (Pipedrive).
  • Determine need for repair parts and maintenance by relying on information relayed by customers and suggest related parts that might be needed to complete project.
  • Maintain company vehicle, keep clean and up to date with maintenance intervals.
  • Advises customers of promotional items, flyers, new items available and make recommendations to customers for additional seasonal preventative maintenance items.
  • Establishes and maintains good working relationships with internal and external customers to encourage repeat and referral business.
  • Maintains a professional appearance and attitude with co‑workers, customers, vendors.
