Job summary

Goegap Nature Reserve seeks a General Assistant for permanent work in a rural outdoor setting. The role focuses on maintaining roads, fences, trails, buildings, and equipment, plus supporting ecological management and administration.

The successful candidate must be physically fit, hold a Grade 10 certificate, and have a Code 10 driver's licence; prior team experience is valued for a stable government position.

Qualifications

• Must have a Grade 10 Certificate.
• Must possess Code 10 driver’s licence.
• Physically fit and able to work in extreme weather conditions.
• Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical maintenance of roads, fences, hiking trails and reserve vehicles.
• Perform physical maintenance of reserve buildings and visitor facilities.
• Maintain reserve equipment and vehicles.
• Provide physical assistance in ecological management of the reserve.
• Complete administrative duties as required by supervisor.
