Overview
We are seeking a Data Researcher / Telemarketing Researcher to support business intelligence and lead-generation activities for our UK based client. This role involves conducting outbound research calls to HR and Benefits departments across the UK, gathering accurate and up-to-date information to maintain and enhance our client database.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication and research skills, excellent attention to detail, and prior experience in outbound telephone research or telemarketing—particularly when speaking with professional contacts in HR, Benefits, or related corporate departments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound telephone calls to HR, Benefits, and other corporate departments to verify or collect company and contact information
- Research organizations online to identify relevant contacts, insurance products held, such as Grp Private Medical Insurance, capturing the PMI renewal month and number of insured employees
- Secondary data capture will be confirmation of presence of Grp Risk products
- Record and update data accurately in CRM or database systems
- Follow call scripts and data quality standards while maintaining a professional and courteous manner at all times
- Meet daily and weekly productivity targets (e.g., call volume, data accuracy, verified records)
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve data quality, insights, and lead segmentation
- Maintain confidentiality and handle all data in accordance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR)
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in outbound calling, telephone research, or telemarketing, ideally targeting HR or Benefits departments
- Excellent spoken and written English with a professional, confident telephone manner
- Strong attention to detail and ability to record accurate information quickly
- Competence with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.)
- Comfortable working with call targets and deadlines
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Previous experience in B2B research, lead generation, or data cleansing
- Understanding of HR / Benefits industry terminology and structure
