Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is seeking a Sales Development Representative to operate across South Africa. You will own the top of the funnel by researching accounts, sourcing contacts, and booking initial meetings with decision makers, creating the first impression of Blacksmith for potential clients.

This is a remote role (SA) focused on thoughtful outreach using tools like LinkedIn Navigator, SalesLoft, Apollo and Salesforce to hit volume goals while maintaining quality conversations.

Qualifications

• 2 years in a similar SDR or BDR role.
• Agency or SaaS experience preferred.
• Strong written communication and the ability to personalize outreach.
• Familiarity with outbound tools like Sales Navigator, SalesLoft, Apollo, and ZoomInfo.
• Comfortable using Salesforce and managing your own pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Source and research ideal accounts based on our ICP.
• Identify decision makers and build accurate contact lists.
• Craft and execute personalized outbound sequences via email, LinkedIn and phone.
• Book qualified discovery calls for our Account Executives.
• Maintain clean records in Salesforce and SalesLoft.
• Test messaging, optimize targeting and tighten feedback loops with the sales team.
