Qualifications

  • Relevant Diploma or equivalent qualification in Logistics or Supply Chain.
  • Up to 6 months of relevant experience in FMCG Logistics.
  • Experience in a customer service environment is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure warehouse operations are efficient and effective.
  • Manage all activities in the Distribution Centre Warehouse.
  • Act as stand-in for the Logistics Manager when necessary.

The Operations Controller is responsible for ensuring that the warehouse operations are efficient, effective, and aligned with overall company goals and objectives whilst effectively managing all activities in the Distribution Centre Warehouse relating to Customer Deliveries and the completion of all reasonable tasks. The incumbent is the designated stand-in for the Logistics Manager (dependent on the size of the DC)

  • A relevant 1 - 2 Yr Dip / Adv Nat Cert / Special Secondary School (Post School) / 2 Yrs College / Tech College Dip / Vocational Certificates / NVQ 3 / Tech Understanding / A Level (AS plus A2 level) / IBDP - 2 Yr Programme / 'NQF' Level 5 & 6 inLogistics / Supply Chain / Management
  • Up To 6 Months MINIMUM TOTAL years of RELEVANT experiencein FMCG Logistics / Distribution Environment
  • Proficient in MS Office,
  • SAP, Strato, Power BI, Success Factors experience beneficial
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and sound presentation skills
  • The ability to work after hours and / or shifts if necessary
  • Knowledge of all relevant legislation
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practice
  • Experience in a customer service environment is essential
